After an incredible inauguration Governor Peter Shumlin and his staff have moved into their new offices on the 5th floor of the Pavillion Building.

The new governor took a tour of his new office and discovered all of the unkown bonuses of being the state's top executive - like a mini kitchen, and pullout couches in case we get trapped here in a snowstorm.

For his first official act at his desk Governor Shumlin signed an inuagural poster for his family friend's children.

The staff is getting settled in. It is strange to think that just this morning these offices belonged to the staff of Governor Jim Douglas. His team left them in great shape and we feel very welcomed!

We are all so thrilled that we can finally get to work on all of the bold agenda items Governor Shumlin laid out in his inaugural address. It is a day we have been anxiously anticipating for a long time.
