  • In August of 2005, Governor Jim Douglas announced a series of three television public service advertisements (PSAs) focusing on educational issues. These spots were distributed to television stations throughout Vermont and will debut in August to coincide with back-to-school activities.

Governor Douglas said the public service announcements, produced in partnership with the Advertising Council, are designed to boost high school graduation rates, promote early childhood development and encourage participation in afterschool programs.  “Each of these public service announcements is an important reminder of how each of us can improve the educational experience of our children,” he added. “With the help of Vermont’s broadcasters, we can share the message that education is essential to the future of Vermont’s children.”
