President Ronald Reagan Centennial Day

A Proclamation

 

Whereas,                          Ronald Reagan was born on February 6, A.D. 1911; and

Whereas,                          over the course of his life, Reagan built a successful career in Hollywood, served as Governor of California and President of the United States; and

Whereas,                          President Reagan was well known for his love of the American way of life; and

Whereas,                          President Reagan played a substantial role in ending the Cold War and dismantling the Soviet Union; and

Whereas,                          the State of Vermont is grateful for President Reagan’s public service;

Now, Therefore,          I, Peter Shumlin, Governor, do hereby proclaim February 6, A.D. 2011 as

 

President Ronald Reagan Centennial Day

in Vermont and urge all Vermonters to remember President Reagan

on the 100th anniversary of  his birth

Vermont on this day of February, A.D. 2011
