Governor Phil Scott and the Department of Public Service today announced the launch of EnergySaver.vermont.gov to provide resources, links and practical advice to help Vermonters save energy and money by heating and cooling their homes more efficiently.

Vermonters set a record on the 18th nationwide Prescription Drug Take Back Day this past Saturday, turning in more than 3.5 tons of unused, unwanted and expired medication at over 60 collection sites throughout the state.

The Vermont Governor’s Committee on the Employment of People with Disabilities (GCEPD) today announced Art LaPlante and Mark Royer of Barton’s EM Brown & Son Inc. as the winners of the 2019 “Spirit of ADA” Award, highlighting the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in their employment practices.

This Saturday, October 26, 2019, is the 18th nationwide Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Governor Phil Scott is encouraging Vermonters to bring their unused, unwanted and unneeded prescription medications to any of the more than 60 drop off sites around the state.

Flanked by store owners, hunting and angling groups and supporters of outdoor recreation, Governor Phil Scott today recognized the important contribution hunting, fishing and related activities have in strengthening and diversifying Vermont’s economy.

Nearly 500 emergency responders and officials from local, state and partner agencies will test their disaster recovery skills during Vermont’s fourth Catastrophic Exercise (CAT 4) from October 23-25. The exercise simulates the aftermath of a statewide catastrophic disaster and tests the ability to restore critical infrastructure.

Governor Phil Scott and representatives from the Department of Financial Regulation (DFR), Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation (FPR) and the Department of Labor (DOL) today highlighted progress on the new Vermont Logger Safety and Workers' Compensation Insurance Program, including a 15% workers’ compensation premium credit.

Governor Phil Scott today attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new building at the former Richmond Creamery site. The new development, which has retained the creamery name, is a mixed-use, net zero, multi-phased development in the heart of Richmond’s downtown.
