Governor Phil Scott Calls on Vermonters to Decorate with Lights to Signal Hope and Better Times Ahead

Governor Phil Scott today issued the following statement:

Governor Phil Scott today announced the Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) has relaunched the State’s Plug-In Electric Vehicle (PEV) Incentive Program with a new round of $950,000 in incentive funding available to income-qualified applicants to purchase or lease new PEVs.

Grants will fund initiatives to improve economic outcomes for rural towns and smaller cities

Flags lowered to half-staff on the 19th of each month

Restrictions implemented to limit interactions between multiple households as gatherings continue to drive record increases in COVID-19 cases; 71% of cases associated with an outbreak are associated with a private party or social gathering

In response to recent coronavirus outbreaks associated with the conduct of interstate youth hockey activities, Governors Baker, Lamont, Mills, Murphy, Raimondo, Scott and Sununu will support a regional approach to interstate competitions.

The Vermont Department of Public Safety is seeking public and stakeholder feedback to shape and refine the state’s continuing work to modernize policing across Vermont.
