Montpelier, Vt. – Governor Phil Scott today issued the following statement for Christmas:
“I want to wish all Vermonters a very Merry Christmas. I hope you all enjoy time with family and friends during the holidays.
“The holiday season is an important time to reflect on how fortunate we are to live in this ‘brave little state.’ To live alongside so many good and decent people. It’s important we don’t take that for granted.
“As we celebrate, let’s commit ourselves to showing gratitude, kindness and compassion for each other. To me, that’s what this season represents. With so much negativity in the world today, let’s use this time to be the example - the shining star for others to look to, and learn from. Because that’s the Vermont way!
“Have a safe and happy holiday. Merry Christmas!”
