Vermont Task Force 1 Swift Water Rescue has returned from its deployment to Texas. The team assisted in searches, well-being checks, and other tasks during its mission.

Governor Phil Scott today announced the appointment of Ed Read as Representative for the Washington-7 district serving the towns of Fayston, Duxbury, Moretown, Waitsfield and Warren. Read, an Independent, will serve the two-seat district along with Rep. Maxine Grad (D).

Commission will examine safety, education, prevention, and regulatory infrastructure needs.

A Vermont swift water rescue team is deploying to Texas to assist in the response to Hurricane Harvey. Vermont Task Force 1 Swift Water Rescue Team will perform evacuations and rescues in flooded areas.

This weekend, Governor Phil Scott attended the 41st Annual Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers (NEG/ECP), an inter-regional, bi-national, trans-border organization between the six New England states and the five eastern Canadian provinces.
