Says growing the workforce and making Vermont more affordable are key to supporting current priorities and investing in future

– Governor Phil Scott today announced that President Donald Trump has signed a major disaster declaration for Addison, Chittenden, Essex, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, Orange, Orleans, Washington, and Windham counties. Those counties suffered substantial damage during wind and rain storms on October 29 and 30.

– Governor Phil Scott today announced the appointment of Randy Brock, of Swanton, to represent the Franklin District in the Vermont State Senate.

In response to the national dialogue around the prevalence of sexual harassment, Gov. Scott called on DHR to review the State’s sexual harassment policies and procedures and recommend any necessary changes. The Department identified an opportunity to improve training requirements.

Governor Phil Scott joined local, state and federal partners Wednesday to announce over $3.5 million in community development grants to eight communities.
